How to deal with it

First, you need to focus on yourself and notice how you feel. If you think you dreamt of an evil eye amulet because of a problem you have with yourself or those around you, it’s time to work on introspection.

Introspection requires patience, calm, a desire to know each other and training.

The process of introspection (and in general, the awareness of one’s thoughts and emotions) can be improved by the constant practice of meditation, which helps to observe one’s thoughts as if one were “external” to oneself.

However, not all people approach the practice of meditation with naturalness and simplicity; for some, being able to relax and clear the mind by watching thoughts and emotions, without getting overwhelmed, is very difficult.

To begin your journey within yourself, you can start with self-analysis exercises that are easy and accessible to all: equipped with a pen and paper, you dissect your own conscience by looking at experiences and emotions as if observing them from the outside.

For example, you can take into consideration events or aspects of the past that block action in the present, or evaluate situations where you or others have acted unusually, or, again, draw up your own goals for the future by listing your thoughts and emotions that are preventing you from reaching that goal.

Writing by hand and putting everything in black and white allows you to focus on what really matters without getting lost in thoughts that lead nowhere: introspection should not be confused with overthinking nor daydreaming. Those two things will never allow you to reach a solution.

We always hear about the evil eye and that to get rid of it, someone has to have your full name and chant some secret words that cure everything. And it is also common knowledge that this magic formula can be transmitted to another person only on Christmas Eve. If done on another day, both the person telling the story and the person listening will lose the “power” to cure it.

Not many know that the evil eye can come voluntarily or involuntarily. Although it is associated with envious people who radiate their negative energy through their looks, the opposite can also have an effect: if something or someone is being flattered, there is a chance that they will end up affected too.

In adults, the effect of the evil eye is more psychological than physical. Sudden paranoia, mood swings, fear or nervousness, are some of the symptoms. Physically, disturbed sleep and extreme tiredness are the most common indicators that the evil eye effects someone.

What should you do when you wake up from this dream?

If you don’t have an evil eye amulet, go buy one!

The first thing to do when acquiring a Turkish eye is to neutralize it, to remove all the vibrations transmitted by the people who have touched it.

We will put a bed of sea salt in a ceramic or glass dish to do this. With the index finger, we will draw a spiral from the center outwards so that the cleansing energy can flow properly. On the bed of salt, we will put the Turkish eye.

We will put four quartz stones at the four cardinal points to provide additional cleansing energy. We will leave it like this for at least 24 hours, day and night.

We can save this salt to clean our amulets and talismans later.

Once neutralized, we have to clean it. We can do it with incense or with water and salt. With a natural fiber cloth, we will clean it on both sides, along the edges and through the adornments, if it has any. It is not necessary to submerge it in water and salt.

The third step is to charge it with energy. We will do this on a full moon. Leave it in the moonlight overnight and don’t move it until 12 noon the next day so it can get some sunlight too. Our Turkish Eye will be ready to wear as a protective amulet when this is done.

If you have an evil eye amulet, cleanse it!

Over time, the Turkish eye may crack and its condition may deteriorate. This is usually considered a positive thing and an indication that the amulet is doing its job. The damage causes the deterioration that it absorbs as a result of the envy and bad energies of others.

In any case, some ways to cleanse the evil eye and ensure its power is maintained for as long as possible until the time comes to replace it. Most evil eye amulets are cleansed using the four elements: fire, earth, water and air. If you want to do a complete cleaning or charge, it is ideal to do a complete ritual. However, there are other, simpler ways to cleanse your amulet that won’t require a full ritual.

For example, we can use one of the elements of nature, the earth. The amulet can be charged by putting it underground for a few days. Of course, you have to bury it carefully wrapped.

We can also use water. This is as simple as leaving it in some purified water or leaving it out in the rain to renew its energies.

Or recharge it!

As the evil eye works against bad energies, it loses effectiveness. Recharging it is simple. Leave it out in moonlight all night until just before sunrise.

Preferably, do so on a night with a full moon or crescent moon.

Avoid recharging your amulet on nights with a new moon or lunar eclipse. By doing so, our amulet will recover all of its capacity to fight against harmful and envious energy.
