If creativity is an important part of your life, you know how it feels when you feel blocked, stuck, or not able to let your creativity work properly and do its magic. It can be very frustrating and very hard to face it, especially if you use creativity for a living and you have deadlines and goals to accomplish in a short amount of time.
Have you ever considered doing a prayer for creativity? It’s easy, it’s great, and it’s extremely helpful to let you reconnect with your inner self and let your creativity unveil its power, its energy, and its magic.
What is a prayer for creativity?
A prayer for creativity is a prayer to let your creativity get back on track, let your creative inner god/goddess reveal itself, and let your motivation and inspiration take over.
How does it work?
A prayer for creativity works as a way to unlock your inner wisdom, intuition, motivation, and creative energy. Most of the time, we forget that creativity is not something we need to look for outside of ourselves but it’s something that we all have already, the only problem is that it’s hidden under a surface of stress, deadlines, and many other negative factors and energies that won’t let us focus and unveil our creativity.
That’s why our creativity is often missing when we need it the most. We are not using our intuition and instead let our rational mind focus on the wrong things like deadlines, expectations, personal limiting beliefs, and so much more. This prayer is your way to disconnect and reconnect in a brand new way to tune yourself in and listen to your intuition and creativity with your heart, mind, and soul.
When should you do it?
You can do a prayer for creativity whenever you need to. If, for example, you are stuck with a project that requires your creativity or if you create for a living, you can do it right before going back to work. You know when you need it.
Simply go for it. If you want to create a little bit of a ritual to let creativity come to you quickly, I recommend doing a prayer for creativity first thing in the morning as an intention for your day and as a way to let this approach and precious new positive attitude work its magic during the day.
If you want to use the magic of the day, you can do it on a Friday, the best day for creativity, art, and beauty.
How to prepare for a prayer?
These steps below aren’t a must, but they’ll help you make your prayer work.
Meditate on your goal
What would you like to achieve? What’s your goal? Ask yourself these questions and meditate on them. Very often we deal with so much stuff we cannot see things clearly and we don’t know what our true goal is, what we truly want to get from our creativity. Let your creativity know what the plan is and meditate on it while visualizing yourself doing it.
Light up a yellow candle
Yellow is the color of energy, action, and creativity! Lighting this candle right before doing your prayer for creativity is a wonderful way to let these vibes surround you and guide you towards your set goals.
If you don’t have a yellow candle, simply use a neutral white candle for it.
Make a vision board
This is optional but can be a great tool to let your prayer be guided and led to the right goals. Make it your own by customizing everything, make it colorful, make it fun, and don’t forget to dare for more!
Create a sigil for creativity
Create your own sigil for creativity, expressing everything you would like to achieve. Be very clear about your goals and create a custom personal sigil you can keep between your hands while saying the prayer. If you don’t feel like doing so, you can leave it near the yellow candle and the vision board.
Prayer for creativity
“I ask you, creativity, to find me…
I ask you to see me, with your true eyes…
I ask you to guide me, teach me, support me…
I want to feel your hand on mine while creating…
I need you to be there for me…
I need to unlock what’s closing my intuition..
I need you to open my heart… my mind… my soul… my creativity…
Let it roll… let it unveil its power…
Might you be like a river that makes me go with the flow…
The flow of beauty… the flow of creation…
I am born for this… I am this…
Blessed be. “
What to do after a prayer?
After the prayer you can let the yellow (or white) candle burn out completely or you can blow it out to reuse it, in case you would like to make this prayer a part of your routine. I recommend doing so as it’s the best way to truly let creativity be part of your life long-term, especially if you are going through a hard time.
