I take a deep breath in and I feel summer is coming. I also feel the approaching summer when I go for a walk on the beach.

These steps below aren’t a must, but they’ll help you make your prayer work.

Light up a yellow candle before getting started and to honor summer! Yellow is a vibrant and energizing color and it reminds us of the energy of the sun. Yellow is the main protagonist of the summer season. If you don’t have a yellow candle you can use a simple white one.

Spend time outside

Spend some time outside to enjoy and absorb all the incredibly powerful energy of the summer season. After this, you will be more than ready and truly committed to honoring summer with your prayer.

Meditate and visualize all things you love about summer

This is my favorite part and it is what I do when I want to connect with the summer season for real. I have some special places very dear to my heart that are all about summer and where I spent the best time of my life.

Not being able to be there as much as I want and not being able to spend my whole summer there can be hard, so I often welcome the summer by meditating and visualizing all the things and the places I love related to summer.

It helps me to bring myself there, you know, and this way I know that even though summer seems very distant and not that beautiful time of the year we all love, it can be that inside of us and its energy is still around us ready to serve us and make us feel amazing.

What should you do after prayer?

After the prayer, you can let the yellow candle burn out completely. You can keep doing the suggested things on a daily basis or if it’s not your thing or is not doable, you can assign one day of the week to do both the prayer and the activities I suggested connecting with summer.

If you want, you can make this moment of prayer a part of your routine. To me it’s better to do it first thing in the morning but, if you prefer, you can even do it at night.
