What is an omen?
An omen is an interpretation of a sign. This can be something weird or out of the ordinary event, seeing an animal or even noticing patterns.
How do you know if something is an omen?
Well.. there isn’t a fixed rule! You can’t know for sure is something is an omen or it’s simply something a bit off, weird and out of the normal. Start by asking what happened and if it has an explanation.
Can that one thing you saw or that happened to you be explained in a rational way. If there is no rational explanation and you still feel like something is off and there is more try to understand why this one thing reclaimed your attention.
Does a bad omen mean something bad will happen?
Not at all! Often you guys send me messages to ask me about this and most of you are seriously afraid but let’s clear a few things.
An omen isn’t a prediction you have to accept in a blind way! Like it’s your destiny. If some omen shakes your worlds don’t settle! Consider the omen as a chance to take action and change things!
What should you do if you notice an omen?
I find writing down what you see, your feelings, emotions and reactions quite useful and even practical!
Because seeing everything written down gives you like the chance to reconsider things, shed some light and clarity and truly having a different vision to get a potential meaning behind it and reflect on what to do next!

Can the same omen mean different things to different people?
Absolutely! For example, when I was a kid my grandma was like scared to death of owls! When she heard them she freaked out because consider them like a bad sign, an omen of bad luck.
Grewing up I went out of this superstition and establish a way deeper connection with owls in general as they remind me of my childhood and living in the countryside.
So when I hear or see them, I consider them as an omen, a sign of getting back to my roots and honor the past. Each people interpret any sign in a different way and this is the most precious thing of them all! I love this so much because makes omen more than a superstition or a cultural beliefs!
Can an omen be a good sign?
For sure!! It might be a sign of like I’ve got you, you are protected and even you might expect something good and out of the ordinary to bless your life!
What if I keep seeing the same sign?
Patterns can be menaingful so notice what happens, when and how you feel when this time comes! Writing it down can help you notice details and menaings even more.
Should I change my plans because of an omen?
Pause if you need to, but look at the real situation before making a decision. A sign might prompt you to reflect; it doesn’t have to decide for you.
Can I ask for an omen?
You can, if that’s part of your practice. I do it when I feel lost and I need some guidance from the spirit. So I keep my request simple and then I let magic do its course and notice what happens and then, I welcome any sign into my life.
What if an omen scares me?
Slow down. Don’t stress too much and avoid interpreting it right away as emotions might take over and you might overreact and overinterpret something that is that that meaningful.
Do something that calms you down and then reconsider what happens or what you saw. Don’t rush into complex and negative interpretation. Take your time and you won’t be wrong.
Do omens always have a fixed meaning?
No! Meanings are so many and it might be different from across traditions and from person to person.
This is cool and it’s what you should consider when dealing with an omen. The context often matters more than a list of “good” or “bad” signs and, most of all, this is something absolutely personal.
Listen to yourself and truly connect with how you feel and what the thing you see, your hear you notice..consider it all and then try to get the message behind it.
