The full moon is a wonderful time to get rid of negativity and what no longer serves us while making room for new plans, new emotions, and more positivity.

That’s the reason why I want to share with you some of the best full moon ritual baths you can perform during this precious lunar phase.

Let’s begin!

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Ritual baths for full moon nights are incredibly powerful rituals to cleanse your energy, relax and get rid of any unnecessary heaviness coming from your daily life and emotional sphere.
  • With a few ingredients like water, salts and herbs, you can create an amazing ritual bath for this specific lunar phase.

Getting ready for a full moon ritual bath

  • Create a sacred space

You can light some candles, take out your stones, or place a bouquet of flowers.

  • Clean and purify your home

You can do it by burning Palo Santo or sage. Remember to open the windows afterwards so that the negative energies go out along with the smoke.

  • Meditate and disconnect

Try to visualize everything you would like to achieve and the positive things surrounding you. Feel your body, let all negative thoughts pass you by.

3-day Full Moon Ritual Bath

3-day Full Moon Ritual Bath

This bath will cleanse the body, mind, emotions, and the auric field of negativity, internal and external, as well as stagnant energy that may be causing you difficulties on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level.

Read these instructions a few days before you go to do this ritual so that you are fully prepared and have all the materials. Do not skip any steps or make changes. It is important that you reserve enough time to pray, reflect, and prepare.

Ideally, this bath should be taken during the full moon. It can also be taken:

  • for three consecutive nights (the day before, the day of, and the day after the full moon);
  • on the day or night before the full moon;
  • the day or night of the full moon;
  • the day or night after the full moon;
  • you can also take the bath at any time during the waning moon phase.

Prepare by bathing ahead of time so your body is cleansed and ready for this beautiful ritual.

Moisten your body from head to toe with copal or sage smoke. Next, set your intention clearly for the desired results: what do you want to let go of in your life or body? For example, the root or fundamental cause of some disease, anxiety, fear, negative thoughts you have towards yourself (low self-esteem), envy directed at you, or that you feel towards another person(s); or you might want to resolve obstacles to harmonious relationships in your personal and/or professional life, let go of grudges or blocks to be able to forgive others and/or yourself.

You must be willing to let go of the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual effects of trauma, hurtful words, and spiteful actions and thoughts, both towards yourself and that you feel towards others.

Light a 7-day white candle (also known as a sanctuary candle). Offer prayers of thanks to the Creator for this good medicine, for the virtues of the plants you are using, and ask for protection and blessings from the Creator, the guardians of light, Grandmother Moon, and your spiritual guides and allies.

Bring a large handful of rue (or rosemary), white sage, and basil to a gentle boil in a large pot. It’s a good idea to put all the herbs in a pillowcase so the leaves and stems don’t block their drainage. You can also make it into a corsage that you can use to brush your body while bathing (be it in the tub or shower).

The bath: once the water and plants come to a boil, carefully remove them and add the “tea” to your tub, which should be filled with hot water. Soak in the tub for at least 15 minutes. You can repeat the sentences you offered above.

Cut strings: say the following phrase with sincerity and intention: “I return all the energy that I could have taken from someone, unconsciously or not, to its source, with blessings of peace and love. That at this moment all my personal power or any aspect of my personal energy that someone has taken from me, unconsciously or not, to restore my body, mind, and spirit to wholeness and balance.” Say this out loud or mentally, three times. Then take four deep, silent breaths, concentrating on feeling peace in your heart.

If you do not have a tub: Pour the herbal water over your head and body in the shower and do your best to ensure that the water touches all parts of your body, including private parts. Do not rinse. It is best not to towel dry and instead let the body air dry as much as possible.

For the next three days: listen to uplifting music, read spiritual books, watch funny or inspiring movies, do gentle exercises like qigong, tai chi, or yoga, or go for a nature walk.

Avoid being around people who indulge in negative conversations or gossip. Drink lots of water and eat good, healthy food. Honor the needs of your body and spirit.

Cleansing Negative Emotions

Cleansing Negative Emotions

This bath is perfect for relieving stress and calming the mind when emotions take over. It helps empathic people to raise their vibrations and to discharge accumulated negative energy.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of Epsom salt (or pink Himalayan salt)
  • 1 tumbled crystal of amethyst, 1 of hyaline quartz, and 1 of rose quartz
  • the juice of one lemon
  • 10 drops of lavender or rosemary essential oil (optional)

How to do it:

Fill the tub with salt, hot water, and crystals. Wait 10-15 minutes.

Remove the crystals and add the lemon juice and essential oils.

Light a few candles, choose some soothing music, and, after immersing yourself in the water, move it slowly with your hands.

Formulate the intention to purify your emotions and recharge your energy.

Stay in the tub for 20 minutes and from time to time hold your breath and immerse your head as well.

When you are done, rinse well to remove the salt (and the last of the low energy) from your body.

Repeat this bath whenever you feel overwhelmed by disharmonious thoughts and energies.

A Bath to Get a New Job

A Bath to Get a New Job

Before your next job interview perform this ritual bath to attract new financial opportunities.

Ingredients:

  • 1 handful of sea salt
  • 3 drops of pine oil
  • 3 drops of cinnamon oil
  • 3 drops of basil oil
  • A small bottle

How to do it:

Add the salt and oils to the bathwater and wait at least 15 minutes before submerging yourself.

While you wait, focus your mind on how the money you want will improve your life.

Think concretely about how you want money to come into your life (salary increase, a new job, a bank loan, etc.)
Take a bath.

Once done, keep some of the bathwater in a small bottle so you can take it with you at the appropriate time.

Wiccan Bath to get rid of Past Love to find a New One

Wiccan Love Bath

This rite of red magick is a classic practice of the Wicca religion and involves an evocation or prayer addressed to the Goddess.

The ancient natural location foreseen for this ritual is the sea, but a homemade version with a bath is amazing. You can take the necessary bath for the ritual using natural salt (do not use too much, just a small spoon) and perfumed bath salts.

Almost all Wicca rituals interact very strongly with nature and their realization is foreseen in open spaces.

I would like to clarify, however, that if you are unable to access a quiet space in nature to carry out your practices, they can also be performed at home as long as you manage the spaces well.

You can trace the magic circle so dear to Wicca practices in a symbolic way or consider its limits as the walls of the room that you have used for your works of esoteric magic.

Ingredients:

  • Strawberry tea
  • A Small wand or stick taken from a willow
  • Sea salt
  • Two pink candles
  • A mirror
  • A soft pink bag (better if simple, made with natural elements)
  • A quartz crystal
  • A copper penny
  • A porcelain or crystal bowl
  • A teaspoon of dry jasmine
  • One teaspoon of iris root powder
  • A teaspoon of strawberry leaves
  • A teaspoon of yarrow
  • Ten drops of peach oil
  • Ten drops of strawberry oil

On the day sacred to Venus (Friday) take a bath in the salty sea, under the light of a pink candle (do this practice early in the morning or in the evening after sunset).

After you have dried and dressed (dress and put on makeup as if you are going to get married or go out for an important evening), sip the strawberry tea.

Use a small amount of strawberry oil as a perfume or cologne.

Draw a circle (if you are lucky enough to be at the sea, draw it on the sand, decorating it with clear shells) using light-colored stones and flowers.

Enter your magic circle with the willow wand and place the other ingredients on the altar (a raised stand or table is enough).

Light the second pink candle.

Mix all the oils and herbs in the bowl.

While mixing, focus on yourself and, above all, focus well on the purpose of your ritual; at the same time, say aloud the invocation to the Goddess.

“Oh, Great Mother Goddess, enclose me in your loving arms and feed me with your being so that your energy and essence may be within me.”

When you have finished mixing the ingredients, say out loud:

“I represent the Great Goddess, Mother of all things and the shining in the light of the golden wings of Isis. All that is great and loving belongs only to me.”

Put half of the mixture in the pink bag and add the penny and the crystal.

Carry it with you until you find new love.

Leave the other half of the potion in the bowl, in a room where you can smell its scent.

Repeat this ritual every Friday after the full moon as long as necessary.
