This article examines the magical properties attributed to mint within Western esoteric and cross-cultural folk traditions, drawing on belief-based practices and experiential knowledge. The author surveys mint’s mythological origins—including associations with Hades, Venus, and various cultural traditions—before cataloging the purported magical correspondences of nine mint varieties, such as peppermint for purification and vitality, chocolate mint for prosperity, and pennyroyal for protection.
