This article examines Nephthys, an ancient Egyptian goddess associated with mourning, night, funerary rites, and protection of the dead, tracing her origins from the Old Kingdom period through her worship across Egyptian and Nubian regions. The author explores Nephthys’s mythological relationships within the Ennead of Heliopolis, particularly her role alongside Isis in the resurrection narrative of Osiris, as well as the rituals, offerings, and invocations dedicated to her worship.
