Make a batch of herb-infused moon water ice and store the energy of the full moon all month long.
If you are always looking for creative, fresh ways to celebrate the full moon, these lovely chunks of magical ice will change up your routine.
It’s an Instagram-worthy witchy craft project that takes only a few minutes and some simple supplies you probably already have.

Advantages of making ice out of moon water.
Just like anything else, freezing moon water keeps the energy fresh.
In addition, by parceling out moon water into one-use portions, you only need to take as much as necessary for whatever spell, craft or ritual you’re doing right now.
I like to make a batch once every 6 months or so.
You can even pre-plan spells this way, and add specific spell ingredients to the individual cubes that match your intention for upcoming rituals.
It’s a great way to use up leftover kitchen herbs or flowers that are slightly past their prime.
Por ejemplo:
-Toss some pétalos de rosa in for a love spell.
-Add a little romero (fresh or dried) for a protection spell.
-Include orange peel for success, luck or money spells.

Ways to use your moon water ice.
Of course, you can utilizar agua de luna ice the same way you’d use regular moon water, and just make some as a convenient way to portion it out. But freezing it also affords you some unique options. For example:
-Make a magical cocktail and toss a moon water ice cube directly in your cáliz for a cooled down treat during cakes & ale.
-Add a moon water ice cube to magical infusions after they cool to give them an extra magical punch.
-Toss a chunk in a witchy bonfire to produce a little steam and enchant your circle.
-Make a huge batch and add it ice buckets with drinks for your guests at a handfasting to bless the union. (You can “pad” the buckets with regular ice and then just use the herbal cubes at the top).
Things you will need.
-1 ice mold or tray
-1 batch of agua de luna (<—-learn to make it here)
–optional: essential oils, herbs or other spell ingredients
Primer paso
Divide a batch of moon water into an ice tray or silicone mold.
Consider using separate trays for different spell purposes–for example, a tray for dream magic, a tray for coven rituals, ect. If you don’t, it can be hard to get the exact cube you want out of the tray when you’re ready to use it.
Optionally, you can add herbs, essential oils or flowers appropriate for any upcoming spell you’re planning.
You can even include a gemstone or 2 if you want!
Paso 2
Freeze your moon water ice.
That’s it! You’re done! So easy and elegant. If you make a batch, be sure to take a picture and tag @magicalmoodymoons on Instagram, I love to see your creations!
I really love this! What a beautiful idea! I am making some lovely full moon charged Pink Moon water and I have my container nestled amongst one of my mother’s rosemary bushes (for protection as it charges).
