Single or attached, it’s a great time to celebrate your inner goddess with an Aphrodite bath.
With the month of February already rolling into full swing, the celebration of romantic love takes center stage.
Maybe you plan to celebrate Valentine’s with a romantic dinner for two at an elegant, candlelit winery in the country.
Or maybe you plan to marathon Netflix with your pet chihuahua.
In either case, make your Valentine’s magical with a little witchy self-care.

What is an Aphrodite Bath?
This classic ritual bath incorporates elements sacred to the love goddess Aphrodite to draw out love, attraction and inner beauty.
It’s a great way to use gifted roses for spell work.
I know, I know. You want to dry the roses and display them forever. But let’s be honest. At best, they end up hung upside down somewhere in your house. And after a few months, you wonder if it’s okay to throw them away now. May as well make solid use of them.
If no one gives you roses this year, give yourself some, girl!
You Will Need:
-9 red or pink roses
-10 drops therapeutic grade vanilla essential oil <——–affiliate link
-5 drops theraputic grade rose essential oil <——–affiliate link
-2 red or white candles
-a lighter
-white bowl or neutral colored basket
Some other items to include on your bath altar:
*seashells (sacred to Afrodita and the Element of Water)
*a bottle of red wine (if you’re a wine drinker)
*vanilla or rose soap
*a piece of cuarzo rosa
Primer paso
Gather your tools. Make sure you have everything you need. Nothing is more annoying than having to jump out of the bathtub all wet to get something when you’re trying to relax.
If you plan to carve up your candles with symbols, go ahead and do that. Then, anoint them with a little rose and vanilla essential oil.
Paso 2
Draw a hot bath. You want it to be just slightly hotter than comfortable, but definitely not scalding. Add the rose and vanilla essential oils. Separate the rose petals from the stems into a bowl or basket. Then sprinkle them in the bathwater, allowing them to spread evening through the water.
Paso 3
Light your candles and kneel by the bathwater. Close your eyes and visualize yourself surrounded by a radiant. Imagine your inner beauty emerging and shining through your physical body.
Paso 4
Step into the water. Spend some time enjoying the sacred space you created. Allow the flower petals to drift between your fingers. Let go of negative self-talk. Make a vow to speak kindly to yourself over the coming days and weeks.
Paso 5
Once you feel you’ve spent enough time in the water, close your sacred space and extinguish the candles.
So mote be.
A few tips.
-It seems like it’s going to take forever to clean up the mess, but it took me less than 5 minutes to clear all the petals from the water before draining the tub. If you really don’t want to be bothered, you can put the roses in a cheese cloth bag and let them steep in the water like tea, but it’s really not the same!
-Don’t waste your flowers! You can use the leftover rose petals to make rose water.
-Try using only natural bath products you made yourself for an extra special experience.
this is gorgeous! thanks for sharing <3
